These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Moneta, a personal finance tracking service operated by Coinstack ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Moneta is a personal finance tracking and budgeting tool. It allows you to manually record accounts, transactions, categories, and budgets, and to view analytics about your spending habits.

Moneta does not:

• Connect to banks, payment providers, or financial institutions
• Transfer, hold, or process money on your behalf
• Execute financial transactions of any kind
• Provide financial, tax, or investment advice

All financial data in Moneta is entered by you and stored for your personal record-keeping purposes only.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Moneta. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Your Account

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate information when registering.
• You must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service beyond the provided API
• Share your account credentials with others or create accounts on behalf of others without authorization

5. AI Assistant Integration (MCP)

Moneta offers integration with third-party AI assistants (such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini) through the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

• You choose whether to connect Moneta to an AI assistant. No data is shared until you explicitly authorize the connection.
• When connected, the AI assistant can read and modify your financial data through the tools you authorize.
• Your use of third-party AI assistants is governed by their respective terms of service. We are not responsible for how third-party providers handle your data once it leaves our servers.
• You may revoke AI assistant access at any time by disconnecting the integration.

6. Financial Advisor Feature

Moneta allows users to grant read access to a financial advisor. If you use this feature:

• You control which advisor has access to your data and can revoke access at any time.
• Advisor access is logged and auditable.
• We are not responsible for any advice or actions taken by your financial advisor.

7. Your Data

• You retain ownership of all data you enter into Moneta.
• We do not sell, share, or monetize your financial data.
• You may export or delete your data at any time.
• Our handling of your data is described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Service Availability

We strive to keep Moneta available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any losses resulting from Service downtime.

9. Limitation of Liability

Moneta is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
• We are not responsible for decisions you make based on data displayed in Moneta.
• Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

10. Account Termination

• You may delete your account at any time. Deletion is permanent and removes all your data.
• We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if required by law.
• We may discontinue the Service with 30 days' notice.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. For material changes, we will notify you via email or in-app notification.
